Easter Monday riverside walk

We walked from home (Horsforth) to Apperley Bridge along the Aire. The Bluebells on Hunger Hills (above) were magnificent and along the river there were many Speckled Wood and Orange Tip butterflies. It was reassuring to see a number of Sand Martins entering burrows on the river bank near Cragg Wood. There were 2 pairs of Goosander and a high flying Buzzard as we approached Apperley Bridge.
