Field Meetings 2025

Species lists from some of our field trips are available here.

The following is a list of planned field meetings for 2025.

Tue 8 Apr – St Aidan’s RSPB Reserve: 10.30am, carpark at far end of Fleet Lane, SE380284.
Wed 23 Apr – Rodley Nature Reserve: 10.30am, Visitors’ carpark, SE230362.
Thu 8 May – Hetchell Wood YWT Nature Reserve: 10.30am, informal parking spaces in Milner Lane, near entrance to wood. SE379422.
Thu 22 May – Frank Shire’s Quarry, East Keswick: 10.30am, Meet in Duke of Wellington carpark. SE361441. In the afternoon we shall be visiting some fields in the Countryside Stewardship Scheme on the Harewood Estate. Meet 2pm at the Estate Offices by entering through the back entrance in Low Weardley (SE 2984 4476). A reminder email with maps will be sent to Leeds Nats members nearer the date. If you are not a member and are interested in attending please email Leeds Nats.  NB – The Duke of Wellington is currently closed so you will need to bring along any refreshments required at midday.
Wed 4 Jun – York Gate garden: 10.30am. Park in spaces on Church Lane opposite Adel Church. SE273402. Entrance charge of £10/person. NB Please confirm attendance by 1 April. If more than 5 wish to attend a Group booking will be required. There is the possibility of also visiting Adel churchyard and/or Adel Woods/Moor

Mon 7 Jul – West Leeds Activity Centre: 10.30am, back car park of WLAC at the end of Lenhurst Avenue LS12 2RE, SE 2602 3485. what3words: wiser.petty.sides.
Staff of WLAC have been working to improve the habitats within its boundary and are very interested in knowing what species are there. We shall be joined by some from North Leeds Rewilding Hub.
